Q. My court does not have a court ID, how do we get one?

Q. Can a court have more than one Court ID?
A. Each court will only have one account/Court ID. The Primary Contact (User) for each court, will be provided one Court ID and password.
Taking the assessment
Q. Can I take the assessment alone or must I work with my court team?
A. For the best results, we recommend the court team take the assessment together.
Q. Can different court staff complete different parts of the assessment and at different times?
A. No. For courts to better understand the needs of their participants, we encourage court teams to take the assessment together.
Q. Which team members should be present to take the assessment?
A. We suggest team members who attend regular treatment court staffings should be present during the assessment.
Q. Can multiple court staff be logged into the assessment, at different computers, simultaneously?
A. No. Please log in from only one computer. The RED Program Assessment Tool only allows one log-in per Court ID. The Primary Contact (User) for each court is provided one Court ID and password.
Q. Can my team log in from another computer at a later time to complete the assessment or must we use the same computer?
A. Yes. Your team may use your username and password on the same computer or a different computer to log-in at any time.
Q. Can court teams complete one section and return later to complete the assessment?
A. Yes. Teams can stop the assessment at any time, save it, and return to it at a later date.
Timing
Q. How long does it take to complete the assessment?
A. The assessment takes approximately two hours to complete. Users need to gather program information prior to answering questions on the assessment. Teams should set aside approximately two hours to discuss and enter responses into the web-based form. Based on inputted responses, courts receive recommendations on how to alleviate racial/ethnic disparities in the program accompanied by scores for the multiple sections.
Q. How many questions are on the assessment?
A. It’s hard to say exactly how many questions are on the assessment, because multiple questions are conditional, meaning certain questions may or may not be asked based on your responses to earlier questions.
Q. How often should my team take the assessment? A. We recommend the court team take the assessment once a year to compare results and measure progress.
Saving answers
Q. How will my team know that our answers are saved?
A. Teams can save their answers by selecting the Save & Continue button.
Q. Can my team go back and change our answers?
A. Teams can select the Back button to change answers. Warning: If you go back to a question you must re-enter the answers to all subsequent questions (within the section).
Q. Can my team go back and change our answers in previous sections?
A. No. Teams can only change answers within each section by selecting the Back button.
Assessment and scoring
Q. How are programs assessed?
A. The assessment has eight sections and there is an algorithm that determines scores based on responses.
Q. Which type of treatment court(s) can complete the assessment?
A. The assessment was created for treatment courts who serve clients who have underlying issues such as substance use disorders or mental health issues.
Scoring
Q. How are the open-text questions scored?
A. Open-text responses are not scored. This information is collected in order to create future resources to address racial and ethnic disparities.
Q. What can I do with the results?
A. After completing the assessment, your court will receive recommendations to implement to make your court more racially/ethnically inclusive. Courts are encouraged to review the recommendations together and develop a plan for implementing recommendations.
Q. How often should my team take the assessment?
A. We recommend the court team take the assessment once a year to compare results and measure progress.
Q. Will my court receive any penalty for poor results?
A. We will not share your results with anyone. The only individuals who will have access to your results are the treatment court team members who helped complete the assessment.

Q. Will demographics or any court staff data be used in reporting?
A. No individual data will be reported or shared. Data will be aggregated to reflect groups rather than individuals.
